Ingredients

Biryani

  • 1 Cup Jasmine Rice

  • 100 Grams’ Chicken

  • 100 Grams’ Meat

  • 2 Potatoes, Peeled & Diced

  • ½ Cup Peas

  • ½ Carrot, Peeled & Shredded

  • ½ Onion, Julienne

  • ½ Onion to Cook With Chicken

  • 1 Tsp Biryani Spice

  • Salt & Pepper

How To Prepare

  1. Soak the rice in water for 20-30 minutes and then strain. Rinse it through with water once more before cooking.

  2. Boil the chicken with onion until cooked (don’t throw the water out – strain and use the broth again to cook rice!)

  3. Make small meatballs. Fry these meatballs in a frying pan. Set aside. 

  4. With the same pan, fry peas and carrots and set aside

  5. In a saucepan with oil fry the potatoes until nice and golden. Set aside

  6. Fry the onions, and set them aside

  7. In a pot, add 1 ½ cup chicken water, 1 tsp oil, 1 tsp biryani spice and 1 cup rice, salt/pepper mix and bring them to a boil. Once water has reached its boiling point, simmer down to medium heat and cover for 10 minutes

  8. Let the rice sit for 5 mins. Then fluff it up with a fork and add all the ingredients previously set aside into the rice and mix.
